We stand at the source.

We stand at the source,

the plane tree and I.

Our images ponder

off the river.

The water-dazzle

lights up the plane.tree and me

We stand at the source,

the plane tree me and the cat.

Our images ruminate

off the river.

The water-dazzle

lights up the plane tree me and the cat.

We stand at the source,

the plane tree me the cat, and the light

Our images reflect

off the river.

The water-dazzle

lights up the plane tree me the cat, and the day-star

We stand at the source,

the plane tree me the cat, the day-star and our lives.

Our images consider

off the river.

The water-dazzle

lights up the plane tree me the cat, the orb of day and our lives.

We stand at the source.

The at will be the first to journey

its image in the water will dissolve.

Then I will walk

my image in the water will dissolve.

Then the plane tree will fare

its image in the water will dissolve.

Then the river will go on foot

the sun alone remaining,

and then it, too, will advance
